Marc Deldin

Marc A. Deldin litigates cases in state and federal courts. His business litigation practice includes representing clients in contract, shareholder, real estate, landlord-tenant, and general business disputes.

Marc’s litigation experience includes:

  • Bench and jury trials in state and federal courts.
  • Favorable verdicts/judgments in more than 90% of trials.
  • Obtaining opinion in federal civil rights lawsuit that a business client was denied due process in the taking of its property.
  • Pre-discovery dismissal of state court lawsuit alleging “pay to play” scheme between clients and public officials.
  • Dismissal of federal anti-trust lawsuit against client over allegations of bid rigging and predatory pricing on a public procurement project.
  • Dozens of favorable settlements at early stages of litigation through aggressive representation and at a substantial cost-saving to the client.

He also represents clients in commercial real estate and business transactions, focusing on:

  • Negotiating commercial leases and purchase agreements.
  • Drafting operating agreements, corporate bylaws, and other organizational documents.
  • Representing purchasers and sellers of businesses.

Before entering private practice, Marc served as general counsel for several affiliated transportation and real estate companies.

Marc graduated magna cum laude from Western Michigan University, and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School in 2007. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Marc lives in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, with his wife and three daughters. He is a member of the Detroit Athletic Club. In his free time, Marc enjoys playing chess and traveling.
