Patrick Klida is a partner with the firm. His practice focuses primarily on litigation. Patrick represents business owners, corporations, licensed professionals, and individuals in state and federal trial and appellate courts.

Patrick’s litigation practice includes defense and prosecution of high-exposure litigation claims. In every case, Patrick focuses on protecting and furthering his client’s interests, particularly with regard to the financial implications of litigation.

Patrick excels at achieving successful outcomes, even in the most challenging cases. His strong research and writing skills and his command of procedural rules provide a substantial foundation for his aggressive advocacy in court actions. His experience also includes drafting numerous successful appellate briefs filed in the Michigan Court of Appeals, Michigan Supreme Court, and United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

After graduating from law school, Patrick served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Prentis Edwards, Jr. of the Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan (Wayne County), the largest Circuit Court in the State. Following his clerkship, he worked as in-house counsel and in private practice. His previous experience includes transactional work and extensive litigation. Patrick and Marc Deldin have worked together since July 2021.

  • Obtained a $300,000 settlement against the City of Highland Park on behalf of a business client for the Police Department’s illegal seizure of real property
  • Achieved summary disposition on behalf of a Michigan-based utility provider, in a case stemming from an event that resulted in 13 lawsuits, including two class action complaints with more than 20,000 putative class members
  • Obtained a significant settlement on behalf of a state licensed marijuana growing facility against a utility provider for lost profits due to inadequate electrical service
  • Defended a local attorney and law firm in a foreign plaintiff’s legal malpractice action seeking over $2 million in damages in Michigan federal district court
  • Represented an automotive dealership in a wrongful death action against claims of negligent performance of a nationwide airbag recall involving one of the world’s largest automotive manufacturers
